Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Passion's Promise')

Wonderful performance in 2022; poor in 2023, which was generally a bad year. Good height on the striking flower. Has proven to be a good performer over many years.

I got three fans of Passion's Promise from Greywood Farms in the Spring of 2022. It bloomed that summer, July 7-14 with four blooms. By October it was somewhat rusty with an imported outbreak.

In 2023, it bloomed from July 10- August 17, with at least 28 blooms ( much better performance) and grew to 5 fans. It's a beautiful, dramatic flower. I love the pale orange edge against the vibrant persimmon of the petals.I knew that if it was growing well in Darlyn's garden twenty minutes from here, then it should be happy here as well.

It has done very well here and has lovely color.

I love this one and will probably keep growing it for a long time.
