So, not knowing any better, I bought a bunch of plants from Floyd Cove in Spring 2021. Most of them, being Evergreens, have struggled here. That includes Viva Las Vegas.

Honestly, it's barely done anything, despite being in the warmest sunniest part of the yard. It has sat at four fans for three seasons now. When there was rust to catch, it caught it. It had 7 blooms the first summer from August 8-20. It had 5 blooms the second year ( 2022) from
June 29- July 5 and it had 6 blooms this last summer ( 2023 ) from July 7- 13. Half of the blooms are unattractive. For sure this plant would rather be somewhere warmer.

Viva Las Vegas arrived spring of 2019. It was mispackaged with Carolyn Mersiovsky, so when blooms arrived, first there was CM and then VLV. CM bloomed better that VLV. CM was then dug out from VLV, and the following year, there was still a fan of CM and VLV managed a few blooms. Another redig to get VLV by itself, and when that finally happened, there were still only a few blooms from VLV on its own. This year there were a few very nice blooms, but I think there are only a few fans, so very little increase. Of course, considering all the digging and redigging that was going on with this plant, it probably needs more time to try to establish itself. Perhaps 2024 will bring better results, sure hope so, or this one may be on its way out.

I was given this plant as Suburban daylilies was closing down back in 2021. It bloomed in 2022, and was looking very healthy. It bloomed in 2022 and that is the only photo I have of it blooming in the garden.
It was affected by my spray mishap in 2023 and I will have to wait to see if it survives to bloom again. I was very pleased with the growth of the plant before the setback at had it in two places at the time.
