I didn't think I would be expanding my beds but after a visit to the Hosta House in SLC and the purchase of several new plants I realized I needed more room. Goodbye to some lawn,,,,Here is how it looks

I've had Spilt Milk several years and it is a slow grower. A friend who grows Hosta well has it in his garden and it is smaller this year when most things are larger.

Thanks Freda. Have you looked at the threads 'Hosta at Howard's' and 'Hosta House'? I'm going to the Hosta House Friday with my Brother's wife who loves Hosta. I have room for two more.
My Spilt Milk is very small this year, and it's usually pretty big. I dug out up and out had small white roots above the older, more mature ones. Not sure if that has anything to do with the drought last year, but it's potted up and waiting to be planted again.

PS.
Love your gardens Paul.

I have 5 more to plant today. I'll post pictures later. Since I have found the Hosta House in Salt Lake City it is hard to show restraint. He has so many wonderful well grown cultivars. I can get a nicely established plants at a price as good as a single bare root start in an order.
