Hi LuvsFlowers

Diamond dusting refers to a surface structure that glitters when light hits it. It reminds me of the sparkle you can see on grass coated with frost first thing in the morning. Diamond dusting can be difficult to photograph but I found this post in a different thread that shows heavy diamond dusting on a seedlings toothy edge.

and here's a link to the AHS Daylily Dictionary's Diamond Dusted page...

Very helpful to see the picture of Diamond Dusting and the to have the AHS Daylily Dictionary. Thank You! I wonder if there are other flower dictionaries.

Here's two other plant societies I've found with nice dictionaries.
The American Iris Society, if you go down to Other Topic Areas there's a dictionary relating to all things Iris. Lots of info on this website.
https://wiki.irises.org/

The American Hosta Society also has a dictionary

I'm sure there are other plant societies with dictionaries on their websites.

@beenthere, you photo doesn't enlarge (it shrinks actually) so can't see the DD.

Yes, it is! I can see diamond dusting in real life, but it's really hard to see in pictures. That is an unusually good one!
