I bought this Iris 2 years ago and low and behold today 9/24/13 it decides to bloom. To top it off it was 32 degrees this morning which I'm worried may have altered the color some. It is supposed to be Immortality which I know is a rebloomer so that may be why it put up a scape in Sept. If anybody has this Iris or have pictures to compare I would appreciate the help.

Normally, I'd be reluctant to try to ID an iris based on a picture, but it could well be Immortality:

Tall Bearded Iris (Iris 'Immortality')

It sure looks like Immortality, Paula -- and Immortality does bloom in the Fall. So this is a good guess!

Certainly looks like Immortality with its yellow beards.

There needs to be something very distinctive about an iris to merit a guess at ID from a picture which I. usually wouldn't do either. Fall bloom separates Immortality from other white iris. A spring picture wouldn't help.

One extra tip-off for Immortality is when it's still in "bud", with just a small amount of color showing, it appears the flower will be light blue. But, of course, when it opens, it's white! There are quite a few white iris that seem to show this trait, but, if it re blooms,(and hasn't got the "best' form), that narrows the field a lot! Just Immortality, and I Do. That's exactly why I thought it could be something else. The bud tips were a pale silvery blue.

Another characteristic that's possibly useful in identifying: Immortality has a strong floral scent--best thing about it, IMO.
