I always LOVE doing the end-of-season sales... amazing how many plants I can pick up at half price, or less!! Especially the pint-sized plants.. picked up TONS of agastaches for $1 / ea!! Or trees for $25... gotta love it!!

I also pick up plant food at the end of the season.

Lynn, guess not everyone can do that - takes a gardener to understand.

I didn't go to my garden center yesterday. Think I will go today.

I just got back from my local garden center at the Van Well's lumber yard.
I had such a great time taking photos and even came home with 2 new plants. They had some great deals, but tomorrow their clearance add is coming out.
Might have to go back tomorrow.

What plants did you get???

Euphorbia Ruby Glow and Berberis X stenophylla 'Nana'

This one stays really small, thought it might make a great miniature tree with some careful pruning.


I love the color on this Euphorbia.

I've never heard of Rosemary Barberry before. Love those bright yellow blooms and the fact that it stays rather small.

Berberis is a great plant! It normally has three spikes on it, well lots of them like a calthrop. We use it as hedging as it certainly deters uninvited persons The spikes are quite nasty, and can lead to a lot of pain, if left in the skin. Ideal for that unwanted person.

The blooms are so worth the thorns. But to be honest, I didn't even notice the thorns. I'll have to go look when the sun comes up. The birds have already eaten the berries off of mine. And how odd that it is blooming now?
