Oops, I met to write 'Can't Touch This' (Nicole) in my last comment.
Debra, I didn't start growing daylilies until 2010, so I have had to play catch up. Yes, I do go back and pick up older plants that I feel will be great in a hybridizing program down the road. I will dabble a little with hybridizing for the first time this summer. I absolutely love Benz's dormant lilies. This Fall I have purchased seed crosses from his 'Carnival Dream', Ruling Shogun', 'Flaming Sword', 'Rising Dragon' and 'Nancy Thomas'. These are now 6" seedlings.
As you may have noted, I LOVE red daylilies, especially red eyed or patterned red dayliles. In my mountain 'ski-slope' garden, reds really stand out for those long pastoral, alpine views.
Your 'Westbourn Little Lamb' is lovely.
