I've gone a bit over boad this year... Well I guess it's been building up.. as each year there's a few new ones... This is a good time for mid summer outdoor lighting sales... the real good buy is the $1.99 solar light a 10 " tall deal with a frosted upper 1/2 .. and a stainless steel lower 1/2... sometimes I just use the frosted 1/2......from IKEA .. I guess I have more points of light up there than in the house.. but they are so dim... it's nice to look out to the lit garden at night ... makes it so inviting... like somethings is happening... even with you inside.. Ok// pictures are on the other machine...I'll post them in a bit..

Well. It is a bit late for some of the solar lights...it's 3AM...but many are still lighting...but the I-pad is terrible with night photos... I'll have to dig the real Nikon out tomorrow evening...
The other great buy..was the post top light from Target.. Only $4. And still lighting hours later.. I don't have any posts... But it's easy to find places for them

Nice!!
I picked up one of those solar lights from Ikea a few weeks ago, then 10 bucks. It works very well, although occasionally I remove the top and charge it in full sunlight. Not bad at all to sit on the deck in the evening.

Gordon - I agree that night lights in the garden are a must. I have been VERY tempted to get some of those solar tiny christmas string of lights. In fact, they now sell them as outdoor lights. A string of them would look nice on one of my arbors!

Please, if you could, take a flash photo of your favorite outdoor lights and tell us who makes it and where you got them. And I do look forward to more night shots with your Nikon camera!
