As a rule I don't like UF's, but have always liked the looks of Christmas in Oz. Last year I added it to my collection as my first UF. The colors were very nice in person and I was not disappointed by a "muddy mauve" background color, which can often be the case with pinks..... Carnival in Oz also looks tempting. Isn't CHRISTMAS IN OZ a beauty? I've ordered the TET CHRISTMAS IN OZ from the Trimmers for this spring, and I can't wait to get it and see how it differs from the diploid when it blooms. My favorite Herrington so far is MAGIC OF OZ -- such wonderful green in the blooms! I have a few others too, but they haven't bloomed yet.

I've heard the tet versus dip explained before, but since I don't hybridize I've never paid any attention to such things - just the results. Since you will have two Christmas's in Oz to experiment with, it would be interesting to hear if you spot any appreciable differences between the two. If there was one thing I might improve on it would be the sturdiness of the scapes. Not bad, and my plant was just too new to draw any firm conclusions, but I hear this can be a fault with many UFs.............That green throat on Magic in Oz is very nice indeed. YEA!!! Of course I can no longer get them as he does not ship to California these days -- but I do love drooling over their beauties!
