...grow as huge and as quickly as my rhubarb?

We call this group of rhubarb (there are 3 ginormous ones and 5 total) Audrey II, after the man eating plant in Little Shop of Horrors.

I hear you!!! I am getting an Empress Wu.... then the Rhubarb will have some competition!!

I want to pick up 'Gentle Giant' soon. I hope that one can give the rhubarb a run for its money eventually, too. Or maybe I should get 'Empress Wu' just to scare the rhubarb. Or maybe I should learn to breed hostas and breed my own enormous plant. I could name it H. 'Ooga Booga!'

I have T Rex. This will be it's fourh season I think. It will be a few years before it gets as big as the one pictured although it seems to finally be going through a growth spurt maybe medium large now finally.

My 'Empress Wu' seems to be growing at a decent rate. It is also an upright so you don't lose all the space underneath it and can plant more stuff

Elizabeth, interesting thought...more shade plants, more plant shopping, hmmmmmmm I like it!

I fully expect Elizabeth to start building vertical gardens so she has more room for hostas.

THAT is cool! It would be full sun and probably too shallow for hostas. Engineering runs in my bloodlines, don't count me out!
