I heard some faint peeping last week when we had a very warm night, but the "full chorus" should be starting soon. I am with you...that's the sign of spring to me too! When I was a very little girl, my dad (who worked night shift at the steel mill) would come home and on those perfect warm spring nights, around midnight, he'd get me and mom out of bed and bundle us into the car and drive to a nearby dam to sit and listen to the peepers. It was the most magical thing in the world to me then and still is now.
I am not "country" I am "landed gentry."

I too have fond childhood memories of these guys. I hope you got some time in the past few weeks to sit outside and enjoy the magical sound of these harbingers of spring!
