Please share pics of your most fancy iris. I am loving the ones with all those frilly ruffles. It reminds me of my girls Sunday best dresses of years gone by.

I don't have many of the newer ones and would like to see them together in one thread.

I have a couple. Swept Off My Feet, a bonus frome Schreiner's last year. It's crinkled and ruffled.




This is possibly Blackcurrant but for now is a NOID. Lots of ruffles here.


Ambroisie. Some are more ruffled than others.


Jurassic Park shows some ruffles.

Thanks, J. Park is on my Wish List. Black Currant is stunning in a clump. Is there a name for the thin border on the falls? I am mostly a daylily person and not up on much iris terminology.

I'm not sure but I think it's called a 'band.' Some of the others will know for sure.

The iris is Stairway to Heaven. It is an oldie.

Hi Teresa here are some of my new seedlings that just opened over the past few days the 1st one is my favorite it has the most ruffles I have ever seen not a big flower but just what I was looking for now if I can just get that form and good plant growth in all kinds of different colors I will be thrilled

Do they ever have problems opening up?

Thanks and Yes they are mine that just bloomed for the 1st time over the past couple days they have had no problems opening up but the straight line winds and pouring rain has giving them a beating. Hoping it stays calm for the rest of the bloom season

Brad, these are great! Many different colors and shapes. It would be difficult to pick a favorite but #8 kind of stands out for me. The pale pink and yellow with the orange beard.

They knock me off my feet! You have some really nice ones there!

Missy, I had a senior moment and posted a hosta picture on here. I edited it off and put it in the Giants. In the Hosta forum. I had 2 tabs up.

I have looked back over those seedlings and I am just hard pressed for a favorite or even the top 3! I know you are so proud of them, Brad.

Brad -- if you keep this up, you are going to be the premier hybridizer in the U.S.!! Seriously. I could have a garden full of those 10 Irises and be perfectly happy!!

Thank GOD those seedlings are not commercially available--the dogs and I would be on short rations until I bought every single one of them!!!
