Interesting tall plant blooming in my backyard in the Plant ID forum

PNW WA half hour south of Olym (Zone 8a)

This is about 5' tall right now and its bloom is sort of cottony. There are two of them blooming right now in my 'meadow' backyard. Any idea what it might be?

Live in a rainforest, get wet feet.

Could that be the young flower heads of Dactylis glomerata.
