Oh, i think the irises and daylilies were extra beautiful because they missed your attention and wanted to cheer you up. And just look at what a gardener can do (while still following doctor's orders Rolling my eyes. ), and just look at the abundance! Such a lovely story. Sometimes it seems like forever, but with a garden like that you will heal, how can you not?

Beverly,

At my lowest point and with a face black and blue from the arrest (that seemed never to heal), I looked out at the cold bleak Winter and thought it might as well just stay cold and bleak. I felt just like it looked. But I think the daylily foliage was the first to pop up about as soon as the ice and snow melted and every day became a little greener.

The inside of me began to match the garden outside, and the greener my gardens became, the healing grew as well. I couldn't do a thing but look at those plants, but that's all I needed. As the garden greened and bloomed, so did I. I think it was a lesson well learned. I surely don't want to ever go through that again, but if I do, these old gardens of mine will help with the healing. Smiling

Thank you! Group hug
