It is a water loving salvia, so if you grow it, make sure it gets plenty of water. It is very rewarding with the cobalt blue gorgeous flowers. I've grown it in large containers each time. An easy to grow salvia. I love it!

Big Swing and it's relations have massive root systems, so large containers are far easier. Small ones work, but may require water several times on a warm day.

Good to know. I've planted it by itself in a 20 inch container and in a 24 inch container with a couple other salvias before. Big Swing might it happier by itself in a 24 inch container. I'll have to remember that.
