for the notification! That's great! I know that was listed as one of the top 5 most popular daylilies in atleast 2 different states (Kansas being one, of course). I'd have to check my AHS magazine (or the AHS website) to confirm the other(s) though, because I don't recall offhand. It wasn't one of my favorites, personally, but I'm sure it looks a lot better in person than in pictures.

I wasn't surprised at all the others. I have admired each them! The only one that I did not know about was "Look Here Mary". I had not heard of that one until now.

I have admired photos of this daylily over the years. I am not a big fan of doubles but this one catches my eye, just won a double fan on the lily auction just before it won the stout. Not sure how it will like my northern climate.

Betty, it should do fine for you. One of the things it is judged on is that it does well everywhere.

Dorothy and Toto was added to my garden 2 years ago. I has done very well for me. It is prettier than the pictures. It is special to me because I met the Herrington's at the first regional meeting I attended. Another aha moment.

Cannot find the winning cultivars in Australia. Pain.

That part actually confused me. I haven't stopped in to look at the AHS website since about a month or so ago (when my daylilies stopped blooming and I started work back up), so maybe things have been changed or updated, but...

I thought I recalled seeing something about the photo contest being in November. Then I saw an announcement recently that awards were given for a photo contest that had taken place in the summer (or earlier?) in the year and I couldn't remember where I had seen the note about the November photo contest.

I wanted to submit 1-2 photos for the contest, but never did figure out if there was one going on with a November deadline or now. Can you shed some light on this? Are there details yet for one next year that I might be able to participate in? (Can I submit a photo that was taken in a previous year?)

The rules / guidelines are posted on the main AHS website. Click on Photography Awards on the left rail . The deadline each year to submit photos is November 1. Those winners will be announced next summer at the convention in Louisville. There is a time lapse between the time you send pictures until you learn the results!

@floota Julie, I just checked, and the picture has been changed, as you probably know. But, it still says Webster's Pink Wonder under the picture, once you have clicked on it to enlarge it. Figured that you might want to point this out to Tim.
