Background history:

'High Water Mark' is a semi-evergreen tetraploid introduced in 2006 by Judy Davisson. Judy is also known as "Davi" here on ATP! Check out her website for more of her beautiful daylily creations: http://www.picturetrail.com/da...

A wonderful interview with Judy can be found here: http://hemaholicsanonymous.blo... as well as this short video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?...

Juli started a thread here about Judy Davisson: The thread "ATP Series: The Daylilies of Judy Davisson" in Daylilies forum

High Water Mark is mid-season bloomer. It is both pod and pollen fertile with 8 registered children: http://garden.org/plants/paren...

This plant can be found in the ATP Plant Database at:
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'High Water Mark') .

Please join in, if you own this plant! We would love to know more! I award an acorn for performance information posted to this thread.

Also, please consider adding a "Local Report" to the ATP Plant Database! Thank you!

One of the great daylilies I grow, and I grow a lot. Beautifully formed and the mainstay of all things watermarked that I breed. The parent of VICTORIA JOSEPHINE. I will always have this plant.

One of my favorites. Started with a double fan in spring of 2014, and now I have a clump of at least 6 huge fans. Stayed in bloom almost 6 weeks this summer. Color is impeccable and the huge watermark can be seen from across the garden. I used it in a lot of crosses this summer.

High Water Mark has a wonderful watermark which reminds me of some of the Munson daylilies that are in my garden. HWM is one more keeper that will always be in my garden as it is truly beautiful. Lovey dubby

HIGH WATER MARK is one of my favorite daylilies - does real well here solid Zone 4. I have made a lot of crosses with it (and its grandkids, through a couple of Steve's intros) and have some very nice seedlings coming along. Great genes!

I've only had my plant for a few months now, and it bloomed for the first time in our intense summer heat so the blooms were quite pastel -- but then it cooled down for about a week, and I got a bloom with a little more color.

I really love the look of its blooms, even the very pastel ones!

This is a beautiful daylily that thrives in Z5a Michigan. More and more I like large watermarks, and "High Water Mark" has a big chalky white one that catches the attention of me and visitors alike. I've shared this one with family and friends, and divisions establish quickly. It's well worth the bargain price Judy now has it listed for.

I have had this plant since 2018 and it is stunning. It performed well even though not planted in good soil. Will move it to a better spot this year.

Since Davisson's daylilies tend to be my favorites, I can't believe I have not reviewed this one either. I have to say, this is one that has not come close to reaching bud count, but mid teens is not bad. And it has had the misfortune to have to be dug several times, so maybe it just has not really settled in. Nice height, and I love watermarks. I do seem to have more difficulty setting pods on Davi's daylilies for some reason, but doubt I could come up with anything as pretty anyway.
