I first visited this garden at Floors castle in 2011 and was overwhelmed by it, particularly this hot colour border. I took my sister Ann (Galanthophile) with me next time I went.
If you ever get a chance to visit Scotland (I live in Northumberland which is just below the border with England), do go to this fantastic garden.
The main perennial beds are superb. This one is a more traditional one of mixed colours.
When you get to the end of that pathway and stand opposite the gates if you look left you see what's in Ann's photo, and right is this view.
Walk to the building at the end of Ann's view and turn left and you encounter a tranquil blue and purple hued border.
And Floors castle itself. Wonderful!
