Results have been so so for this dayliy, it has it's good days and not so good days some days the bloom is just perfect and you just stand there and admire it, other days it can be real splotchy and a eye soar. I moved it from the back to the front of the house where it will get more sun so we'll see how it does this coming year. it does get to the correct height but being a southern bred cultivar not the branching and bud count that's it should be.

This one was purchased from the hybridizer the year it came out. It was planted at first in an area with too much shade, and has since been moved to fun sun where it is much happier. It doesn't rebloom every year but has actually rebloomed a couple of times since it was moved to full sun. It opens well and has strong scapes! But in this climate, it definitely performs much better in full sun. The hybridizer's image shows a deeper red, but here the bloom is what I'd call more of a "rose red" with cherry overtones. Like this one a lot and plan to keep it for the foreseeable future!

Born to Run is beautiful when it blooms, sometimes spotty but most blooms are pretty, does need the full sun, survived a severe winter in zone 6b here last year. I would say it is average on growth and IMHO it might do better in a more southern zone as far as blooming.

I have had Born to Run for over 4 years. This plant has never bloomed well for me, it very seldom is not spotted and often has poor blooms. This may be its last year.
Thanks

I have had Born to Run about 5 years now. It has plenty of buds, often reblooms and has multiplied pretty well. I have thought about getting rid of it the last couple of years because it is often splotchy, but then it puts out some beautiful blooms. Just beautiful when it has a good day and I can't get rid of it just yet.

I bought a single fan from G Wild in August 2020. It finally bloomed this summer but not a very long run. BR bloomed from July 6-19, with 11 blooms. All of of them were blotchy to some degree, although a few were nearly perfect. I hope the plant resolves that as it settles in. I had a pretty cool poly on it. Also more of a cherry pink here.

2023 update… about the same amount of flowering this summer, I counted 12 blooms. I think it only has one fan this October but I lost the sign and will have to wait until next year's bloom to confirm. Of this year's bloom, most had a teensy but acceptable level of blotchiness.
