Well, currently we have two days of Freeze warnings here in Southern New Jersey. As a result, all of my potted Clematis, Hygrangea, and newly arrived unpotted Rhododendron shrubs are all sitting inside my house until this Spring weather warms up. It is so cold out, I can't even get outdoors to plant anything!
I hear New England got snow! This is unbelievable Crying Sad Thumbs down

Alan, I know the feeling. 20 degrees here this morning, high of 40. Supposed to rain tonight, tomorrow, and snow/rain mix on Thursday and Friday. Not fun. Keep them snug.
Politicians are like diapers, they need to be changed often, and for the same reason.

Yeah, Tom - I hear you have it worse, with the snow/rain mix coming your way. I hope everything is ok and safe. Will be thinking of you . Crossing Fingers! Thumbs up

Snow predicted in KY for Friday. Freeze warning last night but there was no frost that I could see. Wish I could bring my hydrangeas in but they are in the ground. Sunny but cold here today. KY always has wacky spring weather and you are farther north.

We are getting hot and dry. I am watering today. The lilies are ready to form buds..... on the fifth of April! What kinda year is this going to be. Supposed to be a chance of showers tomorrow. Crossing Fingers! Crossing Fingers! Crossing Fingers!

I hope winter leaves all of the gardens SOON and becomes somewhat normal.
Thro' all the tumult and the strife I hear the music ringing; It finds an echo in my soul— How can I keep from singing?

Yes, snow and freezing temps in Massachusetts. It is so unfair to have had 70 degree weather last week with bulbs starting to bloom, and now I'm stuck in Winter again Crying It should get back up to 50 later in the week, but I won't trust this weather until June. It has been back and forth since October.

Well, we don't have to like what Mother Nature does to us, but we DO have to put up with it! Shrug!

Yep, I agree with Liz, I don't trust this weather until June - I don't think this cold spell is over with yet and I think April will be just as cold as March was and that will hamper the growth of just about everything ! Thumbs down

4 inches of snow here. Don't worry, Liz, we will still have irises for the ISM show on May 30. We will be back from NJ the day before & see if anything is in bloom in the garden. Our first pumila 'Wild Whispers' bloomed on April 24 2 years ago.

I just checked my records, and our fist bearded (a pumila) bloomed on:
May 1st, in 2013
April21st, in2014
April 12th, in 2015

Global warming ? Sticking tongue out

It's in the 80's today and it's going to be about 90 degrees tomorrow. The irises are blooming like crazy only to have it rain on Friday and Saturday. That's alright though, I'll gladly welcome the rain.

I don't want it to be 80s here yet, just 60s. All I'm getting is 30s Crying

Pretty much the same as Rob. It was 80 in the shade today, and supposed to be 90 tomorrow. Yuck. Thumbs down
