Background history:

'Pleated Pumpkin' is an evergreen tetraploid introduced in 2013 by Bill Maryott. Bill and Marion do their hybridizing in Freedom, California: https://daylilygarden.net/cgi-......

Pleated Pumpkin is a mid-season extended bloomer. It is listed as pod and pollen fertile.

I have not had this plant long, just one booming season. I received this in a trade with Marcia here on the forum back in Sept. 2021. The first bloom on the plant came in April 2022. I do remember how robust the plant was and how it impressed me as being an outstanding plant early. Naturally for me, the main interest in the plant was the fact that it was a sculpted relief plant. I was very impressed with last years blooms and am anticipating eagerly this years blooms. Too early to say much about the plant.
The photo below shows the plant just after planting in my garden, you can see it is more than two fans then, plus you can see that it had a few scapes cut for shipping. So the plant was performing pretty well when dug and has continued with that growth pattern.

The blooms show a different sculpting pattern than any of my other plants.
