Daylily (Hemerocallis 'The Dream Society')

This beautiful daylily is one of Curt Hanson's best for color. It is a strikingly clear purple with a shockingly true yet subtle blue-shadowed eye zone, and it sparkles in the garden. Nothing else in the garden quite matches its crystal clear, unique color during the late season. It is a shorter plant (about 33 inches tall) in my garden and multiples at a slow but steady pace. It is pod fertile but I have only been able to set 2-3 pods on it per season so far. I haven't bloomed any seedlings from it yet.

I grow THE DREAM SOCIETY here, and have since it was introduced. It is very dark for me, with a hint of blue...striking. I have not used it in hybridizing, as I am an idiot, and have enough trouble focusing as it is...lol. It seems to me that Davi has a spectacular picture of it.
