Background history:

'Ruffles a la Mode' is a semi-evergreen tetraploid introduced in 2012 by Cynthia Tyrrell. Cindy is a member on NGA under the name "Hemlady". Cindy currently has 26 registered daylilies under her name.

Ruffles a la Mode is a mid-season bloomer. This plant can be found in the NGA Plant Database at:

Nice plant that does well here in hot weather. It is fertile both ways but does not produce a lot of seed. It increases fairly well. It is not as tall as I usually like scapes to be but several blooms, blooming at the same time, make up for that. Foilage can get a bit ratty looking by late summer but I guess that is common with a lot of daylilies. Bud count during a good summer is usually 16 to 20.
