Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Jocelyn's Oddity')

I bought Jocelyn's Oddity in 2011 from Red Lane Gardens, and have enjoyed it's eccentricity ever since. I have 3 Photos in the Database, but will post 2 more here. There is such an exuberance to the blossoms of this plant.


Full of character, each blossom is different. The petals have a lovely way of reaching out.

Jocelyn's Oddity lives up to it's name. The blooms are oddly beautiful! I had to give mine away bc it wasn't recieving enough sunlight, in my zone 6 garden. I had it for 3 years, and only got a total of two blooms. Note to self!!

If you love odd looking daylilies, then Jocelyn's Oddity is the perfect daylily for you!

I received Jocelyn's Oddity as a bonus plant from a local nursery this past summer. It was blooming heavily in the pot, and I set a pod on it while it was still in the pot. It is quite unusual and I am looking forward to seeing how it does in my garden.

I bought JO from Greywood Farm this Spring (2022). I was intrigued by photos of its twisting, individualistic blooms. I received a nice double clump of it and am happy to report that it bloomed from July 10-21st with 13 blooms. I counted 9 fans in October with no rust, even though cvs all around were very rusty.

2023 update, one big clump now, JO bloomed from July 7- August 8 with at least 95 blooms counted. What a flower machine this little powerhouse is!
