it should be noted that everything on EOL using Neoregelia macwilliamsii is referencing wikipedia only but they also have a listing for Neoregelia mcwilliamsii that shows much more stable references like the Smithsonian... http://collections.si.edu/sear...

In Phytologia v. 18, the original publication (pg. 138), is spelled Neoregelia mcwilliamsii.
The ICRA Bromeliad Society International Accepted names list spells it Neoregelia macwilliamsii.
