Have lots of photos from public gardens, need help on how to list as new plants :

Species?

For example this Camellia Japonica

(Yes I'm aging) I would still like a sticky there for help.

Open the database, search for Camellia Japonica.
There is a listing

I'm needing help for Genus & Species part, I'm never going back to DG

his is my last season with DG also.

Vi, I've submitted 'Snowman' for approval. Beautiful image. I'll be trying at least one of the cold hardy camellias here next spring. Can't wait.

I let my DG expire...if Ii google in what I know about a plant the info that comes up often helps ID.

Evan, just wait until you see the beauties I have photographed. Masse Lane Gardens is the American Camellia Center and is a wonderful place to visit in February. Maybe I will put in the the Public Gardens Forum, I had done a slideshow of the garden, it would be nice to show it it somewhere.

For the camellia, if you find missing entries, all you need to add a new plant is:

Plant's primary common name: Camellia

Genus: Camellia

Species: as you can see above, japonica is used for all the named cultivars so far, but you can leave it blank if unsure as there are other species

Cultivar: name of the plant

Vi I just visited Massee Lane Gardens, wonderful place. Please post your pictures on the Public Gardens Forum, we would love to see more than one view of that garden.
