Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Spacecoast Starburst')

Has been a good performer here in zone 6b.

I planted this Saturday in zone 5b and hope to see blooms this summer. I picked it for the colors and love the ruffled edges and the throat.

It has performed well for me in Zone 5 without mulching. Increase is on the slow side. Fans are large and does not appear to be affected by our winters.

Spacecoast Starburst is not what I was hoping for so far (we have had it 3 yrs). It does okay in our zone 5 garden. Slow to increase and not a lot of blooms. Beautiful flower though. One I will probably move out if I need room. It did bloom during our drought last year which for us was a bonus (many didn't). Waiting to see how it does this year before any decision is made. I am hoping it is just one of those that takes a long time to mature.

Spacecoast Starburst is one of those daylilies that took 3 years to settle in here in my zone. Once it settled in, it has been wonderful. I get great bloom from it and a decent bud count. Increase has been moderate and once it is a nice large clump it seems to do better. It does not seem to mind our cold winters.

It's good to hear your comments for my zone. I'll take it slow on this one and give it some time.

I planted Spacecoast Starburst late in the 2015 gardening season. It was a potted plant that was in the sale section of a local nursery. It didn't look the best, but for the price, I gave it a chance. It came through its first winter just fine, and bloomed last summer. This spring, it is now four very healthy looking fans. It seems to be doing well in my garden. It is next to Calico Jack that is still just one fan, so it looks like a success story

Spacecoast Starburst has been a little slow to mature but don't give up on it. IT IS DEFINITELY WORTH WAITING FOR. Extremely hardy and good bud count this year, just keeps getting better. Absolutely one of my favorites for both color and form as well as performance . A true star in my garden.

I had Spacecoast Starburst for a time, received it as a single fan. It did not thrive, although held on a year before it finally gave up. Probably should have cut the blooms off, because it died shortly after bloom, & the blooms weren't wonderful. I love the color of it in photos, but not sure I would try it again.

Spacecoast Starburst did not like my zone 4 it bloomed very little and increase was poor after about five years it left my garden.
