Mine does not bloom until mid August here in SE Michigan.

Here are 3 photos from last August...

This daylily is planted in a heavy clay bed. Planted in feb, 2014. I do not fertilize.

Certainly on the plus side, it is not yellow:)

Salmon Sunrise, bloomed for me the first time today. It had nice fluffy pollen, so I couldn't wait to go spread it around! Arrived March 30, 2017 from Gilbert H. Wild and Sons as just ...well next to nothing!

I purchased it because it has a decent bud count and is a nice color. Nice flower for it's maiden bloom in my garden.

I am always amazed to see how the G.H. Wild plants arrive looking so pathetic, yet by some miracle manage to grow into healthy plants and bloom the same year. I have other plants that arrive looking like Hercules and by the end of the first year are reduced down to almost nothing.

I do not recall what this plant looked like when I purchased it from Wild, but it seems to be OK:)

Blooming early this year...

A friend gave me a couple fans in 2015. It bloomed this year and we liked it a lot but it sure has a long name.
