No, it's classified as an "ultra tropical", but I'm thinking I could grow it in a container, plus I have a heated greenhouse. I really do like those leaves.

Most probably seedless variety of A. altilis. (their fruits have reduced scale, and the leaves are more crowded), in that case you'll need sucker to propagate.

I'm not really interested in the fruit. Just the leaves, which hopefully I can keep on the small side - they would be a great foil and support for some of my passion vines. I can definitely keep the temperature warm enough in winter. I don't think it will be too hard to restrict the growth since it would be essentially dormant for 4 months. I'll have to see ... I found some seeds on EBAY.
