Grows well. Nice thin edge. Rich color. Blooms well above the foliage, unlike parent Francis of Assissi. I would prefer the sepals not to recurve so much.

Vatican City was new for me this year in my new Prayer Garden. I was amazed by the blooms and their color. It's been one of my favorite new additions to the gardens. I can't wait for increases next year I also added Francis of Assisi and I prefer Vatican City. Thumbs up

VATICAN CITY had a little trouble with cool mornings but made a nice clump and bloomed for a long time;

Color held well in our punishing sun.

I've only had it 3 years, first year bloomed but not much since it had just been moved, second year drought- I think 2-3 blooms but at least it bloomed where many others didn't this year with all the rain and in spite of having been moved last fall the plant has grown and multiplied well and lots of bloom. I'm sure once established it will very well in my garden.

This is a great plant. Does well in Zone 5. Blooms are above the foliage and has a thin white edge. It is a nice rich looking purple. It surpasses it parents.

It is an outstanding daylily.It re blooms so close to the first bloom that I often do not notice the rebloom until I count the scapes in the fall.
