Thread OP

I thought I saw it somewhere, but can't find it.
I wish it would be made easier to find, like "click on" invite a friend".
Just a suggestion.

Welcome to NGA! Go to your profile, and then look down toward the bottom of the page and you'll see "Refer a friend...". Then a link will be there on your profile page so you can see all of the members you've referred.

Or just forward them the web site address.

That works too, but then they don't get credit for referring a member. That gives us 10 acorns when the member logs in.

I'm not opposed to the nuts; they are just a very minor consideration for me. I have all the badges I need (although I did just buy another one so who knows) and don't do the raffles, so I do my best to give my nuts away as quickly as I earn them. A nicely tagged landscape photo is always good for an acorn, as are informative comments.

I'm the same way. Most of the acorns I have are because someone else has added one of my photos to the data base.

I'm missing something here. I've seen that link on my profile page but am not sure how it's intended to be used. If it's only to see if someone I invited actually became a member then it doesn't seem too useful. Were I to invite someone who subsequently joined, I'm sure I would hear about it.

So how does the link work? Anybody?

You give that link to your friends or relatives. When they join using it, you'll get 10 acorns. IF they joing and don't use it, you don't get the acorns, but you can see if they joined by perusing the membership list at the bottom of the site front page.
