I have had this plant for years, it always come back reliably in the spring, and I have never had problems with it rotting. It doesn't seem to mind being moved. It blooms heavily for me, and has rebloomed strongly for me this fall, with scapes on it now and blooms today. It increases well also. It blooms above the foliage, not too short.

Great garden plant that blooms heavy, grows well and divides easily.

I don't grow this myself in the UK but know someone who does. Initially it was very disappointing and was grown in heavy clay, however my friend persevered with it and after taking a long time to get established is now a great plant and reportedly lives up to its reputation.
