I finally got some spoon daisies! Hurray! I love them!! I read somewhere that seeds from them wont grow new ones, that to continue them I would have to grow more from cuttings. Is this true? Could someone try to explain with some detail why this is. At the same time I bought them I bought some other daisies. I don't know what kind they are but they are roughly the same size as the spoon daisies. How do I know if these will grow from seeds also. What do daisy seeds look like? Thank you for your help. I really like these and would love to continue to grow them.

From what I can tell these are hybrids and will not come true from seed. Saved seed will probably produce seedlings that are normal leafed with possibly a few that are odd shaped. The color will also vary. Most of the neat looking daisy plants are hybrids and will not come true. Seeing F1 after the name or a "x" in the name is a sign of being a hybrid.
