Holy Smokes, that is one dark semp in the first photo! I know my new one won't be that dark but I can look at the pictures and be amazed. And it's a Sue Thomas semp!

It has proven to be a tough and resilient sempervivum in my Pacific Northwest garden. Bev you will love this small to medium treasure.
I feel it would be a great one to use as a parent in crosses.

Hey... how come no Heuffelii in these semps-of-the-day? Maybe 'Midori' for a nice change of direction? It's becoming one of my faves.

It's just not the same. BTW, why do we even have a separate Jovibarba database? "Jovibarba" doesn't even mean anything anymore... does it? Time for a database merge I would think.

There is reluctance to make the change because there is some worry about it being changed back and split again.

I think the taxonomists have spoken. It's just one genus now with two subsections. Maybe eliminate it from our title too!

Bev, it might be because it doesn't get as much sun as mine does.

Another one that I need to get a current photo of.

This is a really gorgeous semp. Mine was fantastic this summer, even with the heat. I'll have to look for pictures.
