I have had this daylily for approx 10 years here in the the UK, performance is just okay but to be fair it has been neglected for a couple of years.
Hasn't increased particularly well despite all our rain. Pretty enough but not fantastic. Have not tried to hybridise with it as I like it but don't LOVE it.
Although I love Lambertsons when I see pictures of them on their website and elsewhere, and it was pictures of varieties like Blue-eyed Guy, which I was never able to acquire, that provoked my interest in daylilies,, Lambertsons generally don't perform particularly well in Britain and some of the colours are really unattractive here in our climate, a sort of rotting flesh colour ( no other way to describe it really) this is one of the better ones, I would be sad if I lost it as it was one of my first, but I wouldn't be heartbroken if I lost it---sorry, Blue-eyed Butterfly!
