Siloam Virginia Henson is one of the first daylily cultivars that I planted. Unfortunately, it tends to be outshone and overpowered by flashier blooms in my large overcrowded garden. Its little flowers are pretty and cheerful, and it comes back year after year. The clump size has not increased very much, but that is probably my fault because I haven't fertilized or watered it.

I agree with Carol. SVH was one of the first daylilies I bought. I always seem to forget I have it until it blooms. I appreciate the blooms even more because it typically starts blooming for me mid-late when I have few other bloomers.

I too have neglected SVH but she keeps right on blooming. I probably should move her since she gets shaded by the other, taller daylilies nearby.

Not a flashy bloom but very reliable and can laugh off neglect. That's a winner in my book!

This daylily was one of the first that I began collecting back in the mid-1990's. It has grown and performed well here in my gardens during all this time. Although there have been literally hundreds of new cultivars introduced and sold over the years, I will always have this one in my gardens. I am almost tempted to say it "thrives on neglect", but how can I neglect such a subtle beauty?

I can only repeat what has already been said. Not one of my first daylilies, and one of the later Siloams I have added to my garden, but this one will definitely stay.

Siloam Virginia Henson was added to my collection of Siloam daylilies in the spring of 2016. It bloomed heavily the first summer, and I set three pods on it. It produced 60 seeds in those three pods. It has thrived in the garden and is a good and reliable bloomer with each small bloom looking perfect.
