Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Point of Divergence')

Showy and vigorous with a very saturated eye. Size at 4.5" is accurate here; wish it were slightly larger, but it still makes a nice show. A good inexpensive one in this color class. I agree with Raven's observation that it is shorter than the registered height. I have mixed feelings about the bouquet-blooming tendency. That usually means a shorter blooming period.

I am partial to this color blending in daylilies so I will be keeping this one. Besides the color, I like that several blooms are open at one time giving a bouquet look in that section of the garden. It doesn't quite reach the 30" registered height here coming in at 25". This was my 3rd summer with this one and I have already divided it so it has clumped quickly for me. The bud count this summer was 11 with 4 way branching and is one of the first ones to bloom here. It is supposed to be fragrant but I have not noticed that.

I received a division of this cultivar from Raven this spring. It settled into the garden nicely, and bloomed its first season. It seems quite vigorous and I am looking forward to seeing its performance in future years.
