Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Boundless Beauty')

Boundless Beauty is a nice one! Thick substance flowers that are very large with a slight pink tint to keep them from showing
much yellow except at the throat and the heavily ruffled edge. They are fairly short for me, and do not increase very quickly, but
they are quite hardy here in my garden. I grew it for about eight years and was impressed with it as long as I could keep the
flowers from hanging up, and that was the reason for it's departure. The ruffles were so deeply cut that they interlocked about
30% of the time. It is pod fertile, although only a few seeds in a pod, and I kept several seedlings from it that are not as heavily
ruffled and will not hang up, but still have the same effect.

Boundless Beauty has a rather short stature evergreen plant, and will perform best where it can have ample water during
dry periods, which aid in rebloom, but it is a class act and worth any additional care. Some people might prefer bolder brighter
colors and contrasting eyes or dark edges, but the pale color screams out from the crowd. If not for shortage of space and
so many seedlings, it would be a permanent resident here.

BOUNDLESS BEAUTY is a beauty. The first year I had it, I wasn't sure if I liked it. When it bloomed the second year, I knew it was a keeper. Nice large blooms. It certainly performs better when it has ample water. Has never hung when blooming. Pod and pollen fertile.

I bought Boundless Beauty in 2016. It bloomed that first season and, yes, it is a beautiful large standout in the garden. In the second season, I moved it forward more to give it more space. It has not reached registered height here being 24" this last summer and a bud count of only 6 with 2 way branching and a mid August bloomer. I did not notice any hang ups. I am hoping it is just slow and will produce at least half of the bud count and branching registered. I would be happy with that, so, I have patience.

Unfortunately, this cv is not hardy enough for my climate. It succumbed to crown rot in the winter of '18/'19 due to our freeze/thaw weather. I can't say I am sorry it is gone. As pretty as the bloom is, there were very few for the space it was occupying.

A marvelous cultivar here, but it is a bit short of registered height and, yes, there are some blooms that hang up (almost inevitable with such a lavishly ruffled flower). But not 30% here. Bud count is quite good for a more recent Stamile (around 11)--certainly could be higher in a warmer clime or in virgin soil. Rebloomed one year (out of several). Has been quite consistent despite the vicissitudes of climate change weather. Here are pics from last two years. In the one group pic, you can see what it does when it doesn't open well.

I grow Boundless Beauty and although a nice enough looking bloom it is not prolific . Too short for my liking really but that is a personal preference. It does just ok in my South Western Ontario garden. It is pretty enough to keep but not a great increaser . It is not like I am going to have to divide it in 5 years or anything unless at some point it goes on some mega growth spurt . In comparison to other daylilies I grow in the same conditions , I would give it a C on its report card.

Boundless Beauty has been here at least five years. Does hang occasionally. Beautiful ruffled blooms. Reblooms occasionally. I have shared some of it once. Slow increaser.

My garden soil is very sandy and it dries out quickly, so that is probably why mine was hanging up so badly. We traditionally
have very little rainfall after mid July, and that is right when they need it most. As for bud counts and branching, half of the
registered quotes are average for me, and many of the evergreens from Floyd Cove are even fewer than half. Just from
memory, I will say 12 to 15 buds sounds about right, but I can't be positive. More than 6 though. I would also agree that on
the daylily report card, I would also give it a C based on the plant characteristics and slow growth. I find that a good many
of the ones with above average flowers are in the same group, but they are often worth it in the long run for their flowers.

I have several Stamile introductions from about the same time, and they seem to be somewhat similar in many respects.
For hybridizing they have been essential for my seedling crosses and I am very happy with the results. I try to keep in mind
that this plant was bred for warmer climates, and give it some slack- (where I wouldn't be as forgiving with many others).
I will only say that this one might do better in a garden that has more care than I give mine, but it did quite well.

I received Boundless Beauty as a bonus from Parklane Daylilies this spring. It bloomed and a few weeks later rebloomed. Mine is more yellow rather than cream...and I love a large ruffled yellow daylily. I bid and won another double fan from Breeze on the lily auction for spring 2018 delivery. Mine are taller than the registered height. I love everything about Boundless Beauty.

I bought this is as a double fan and here in the PNW zone 8b, it's done amazingly well. It's already a large clump in just two seasons and it seems to stay in flower for a very long time compared to other daylilies.
It has tons of creamy frilly ivory blooms. It also sets pods super easy. The only slight fault I can find is that the ruffles do sometimes cause the blooms to not open fully, in about 10% of the blooms, but other then that it's definitely a workhorse in my daylily garden. This one is a keeper.

I should also mention my region gets tons of water, which could be why I get such great increase from this plant. It increased better then many of my other daylilies.

Also the soil I have them is not amended at all, and is mostly clay.
