A friend sent me this photo of a weird looking flower that's growing in his neighbors yard, would like to know what the name is. Thanks

There are a number of spidery, star-shaped orchids but the plant has now been identified as something else.

I don't think its an orchid but withour more photos of the rest of the plant, its going to be hard to ID.

I don't think it's an orchid either, I'm leaning towards to some kind of oriental lilies. I'll have to ask my friend to send more pictures of the whole plant

@krobra my friend lives in White Rock, BC. Flower was cut from a neighbors yard that's been abandoned. Ask my friend to take more pictures of the plant itself so hopefully he'll comply

It is an Epimedium sp.
There are many named cultivars.
They love shade.
They can be star shaped or more demure...in all colours, white, pink, yellow, purple, orange, red, blue.

Might be Epimedium Amber Queen.
