I have had this Queens Wreath about three years. It's doing pretty good but I am lost about how to contain it. It is growing under the roof line and advancing to the garage door. Could some one give me some guidelines on how to prune this vine.
Also I do not know if it needs fertilizer, and what kind is suggested. Can coffee grounds be of help?
I live in SW Florida. Purchased the plant from the Edison Ford Home as an Historic Plant, one of Mrs. Fords favorite's featured in her "Moonlight Garden".

Hi Janice,

Your Queen's Wreath, Petrea volubilis looks awesome! Like most mature vines, you can whack the bajeebers out of them and they won't even blink. Cut it back 6 - 10 inches shorter than you want it then give it a good feed of some all purpose food. It should start putting out new growth within a week or so. To keep it contained, just keep cutting back any new growth that starts to grow where you don't want it. You don't want to feed it very often because that will encourage more growth - maybe 2 to 3 times a year.
