Much used in hybridizing. Was not a vigorous grower here (may still have it). By that I mean "slow to multiply." Bud count I remember as modest.

Hurray! Great White has been here for several years. Not a vigorous grower here either. Very slow to increase. Nevertheless it is a nice near white flower. Don't recall setting a pod on this one.

Great White was my favorite white for quite a few years because it grows/blooms here well. The flowers are very diamond-dusted and glisten in full sun. It is not easy to breed with, but I did get some seed the past couple of years with above average rain. It is a color clarifier. It makes brighter, cleaner colors in it's seedlings. Flowers are well displayed on scapes that range from 27" to 32". Scapes are strong despite the heavy, large flowers. It has earned a permanent place here.

Great White is still in my garden increase is very slow here in our cold climate, the bloom color is the reason it has a place here. I do enjoy the bloom it is beautiful to my eyes.
If you want to be happy for a lifetime plant a garden!

It is a slow increaser for me as well, but it has a place in my garden because the scape and bloom are great. It blooms above the foliage and I get three to five way branching.
