If you are looking for some reprieve from the winter weather or some beauty and inspiration to uplift your spirit or gardem, check these shows out on Netflix. THough we can't build any gardens like those featured in the episodes, we can still dream! Smiling Smiling Smiling

omg - you just made my day

just last night I was wishing I could find something inspiring to watch. This is it!

You know what though? I totally wish there was an english gardening show. English gardens are just pure perfection to me. Would love to do a better job creating that particular style garden.....

Karen, thanks for sharing this information!

Cate, I agree, I would also love some shows about English gardens! I've pulled up videos on YouTube to look at gardens in England and Ireland. Here's one that I viewed recently.

It is because of Monty's Italian Garden series I am going to Italy and taking my mom there in April and May, could not resist. Will try to visit some from the show and it is curious that I've been watching it again to refresh only a week ago!

Alex, that sounds wonderful. Will you go with a tour group, or just plan the trip yourself?

LG, I am not big fan of tour group (unless they are extremely expensive :)), so I booked 4 weeks in Rome, 2 days in Siena and 6 in Florence at different AirBnBs and hope that there will be wonderful weather during my stay. Certainly going to visit Trivoli and Villa D'Este and Villa Andriana and hope I can get to visit Ninfa as it is a little bit tricky. Planning a day Pompeii trip from Rome , see how it works out. Certainly some of Florence gardens are on my map as well.

I love BBC Gardeners World as well with Monty Don. Anticipating every week from spring to the fall. Totally highlight of the week. Highly recommended.

Toronto Botanical Gardens organizing very nice botanical/garden trip with local garden celebrities - for example to UK - but those cost dearly - may be one day...

Not a gardening show, but I used to watch a British mystery series, Rosemary and Thyme I think it was called. Two women who owned a gardening business kept solving murders. I watched it for the gardens, they were beautiful,

Thank you Annette and LG for links to more great garden shows! They are wonderful! They really got my spirits up in the midst of this winter. Annette, I am sure the garden in your new home will look as lovely as those shown in the video that you posted above. If there are other great shows out there that you all know about, please post links here. Thank You! Thank You!

Karen,

Thanks for your kind comments!

I'm now a big Monty Don fan! I've been paying for Netflix for years, thanks to my son, but had never watched any shows. I just started using it this week,😱, had to get the password for my son😂!

Monty is now on my favorites list! I learned how to set that up😬. I've been watching his shows, and getting inspired!

Here's another wonderful gardening show. It's called Garden Answer, and the tour of her parents' garden is phenomenal!

Thank you, Annette and Alex for links to more great shows! I am so happy to start this thread! LOVE love all the wonderful garden shows that you shared. I will never have the land or resources to build such great gardens so it is really awesome to see these inspirational gardens in the videos with the wonderful hosts, hear their history and see the gorgeous displays of flowers and plants. For now, I can dream about them. Hopefully someday I can visit them! Thank You! Thank You!
