A few images from today, mostly tulips which are at their peek now:
Thinking of the thread title, so here is 'Brown Sugar' and some friends.
Tulip 'La Belle Epoque'. This one is in a pot on the patio.
Also in pots on the patio:
Tulip 'Janis Joplin'
Tulip walkway. This one needs to be enlarged to appreciate. The tulips look oh so small in the thumbnail.
Mixing in something not so well groomed into the photos. Can't be too tidy. Tulips by the old ugly concrete well ring.
This one is best not enlarged.
Tulipa 'Poppie' (red) and 'Purissima'(white). 'Janis Joplin' in the background.
Different angle. 'Poppie' and 'Purissima' is in their third year without lifting or replanting. They still bloom very well, so I think I can wait another year replanting them. This is a very dry spot as it is close to large pine trees.
Some Crown Imperials and tulip 'Apertif'. I photographed 'Apertif' in just the right time, as unfortunately it fries on a hot day even in Sweden. By the afternoon it looked like colorful tissue paper on sticks. We went to 25℃/77℉, which is unusually high for us at this time of year, and the full sun was too much for it.
