Cold weather has made things at least a week later than records from last year. Things are just starting to open here.

Unknown variety..always first to bloom. Have had for years before iris virus hit.

You orphan calf is so cute! I'm so sorry it was orphaned, that would be a lot of work taking care of it.

Thanks Barbara for the condolences. 😀 My dogs are loving the calf too! My oldest dog slept next to the calf its first night. It's been especially tough losing the calf's momma. She was from our very first group of calves on the farm. She was named CC, so we named our little one Dee Dee (DD).

Thanks Debra! I haven't painted any cows over the winter. These are some of my favorite ones I painted while I taught small groups.

Animals can care for ones outside of their species. It is so wonderful! You can put the videos on You Tube!
