Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some very healthy daffodil bulbs for fall planting. Any recommendations?

Wow, great recommendation, but the smallest quantity is 100! I only have a very small area so I'm looking for far less.

But their prices are pretty good if you need that or more...

Joanna, I believe you can buy them in lots of 25.

Those numbers aren't available for the one's I'd like to purchase, unfortunately. Anyway, my garden is so tiny that even 25 is way too many (sob, sob...)

But I do thank you.

Oh, WOW!!!! Great variety, and great prices! If the bulb quality is as good, then I'm sold!

How do you find the bulb quality?

Okay, so I ordered some beautiful tulips and daffodils from Brent and Becky's. Prices are good, and the variety is THROUGH THE ROOF!!!

I just received their catalog. Also outstanding. Now, I just have to see how the bulb quality is.

@sallysmom, how has the quality been on the bulbs you've ordered from them?

Yaay! Hurray! Thank you! I can't wait to receive mine. I had some trouble with one of the vendors I purchased from. They have a 100% customer-satisfaction guarantee and did replace the things they erroneously sent, but I would much prefer receiving quality items the first time around.

Thanks again for the recommendation! Thank You!

I know this is a late post and agree those listed number among the best but there's a couple more that actually carry some different cultivars (and also overlap) -
John Scheepers (excellent catalog as well)
and McClure & Zimmerman.

Here some pictures what I got this winter

Seconding the recommendations for Brent & Becky's and John Scheepers. I'm more likely to buy in quantity, so I also like van Engelen ("sister" company to J Scheepers, supposedly "wholesale" but really just providing some quantity discounts).

For anybody wanting larger quantities or willing to do a group purchase, our mid-Atlantic group has had excellent experiences with ADR Bulbs (an actual wholesaler).

Van Engelen

These are the ones that have been reliable for me.

Old House is the most expensive, but nice to get some rare varieties. Brent & Becky's is also excellent and good if you wanted smaller quantities. The rest are excellent as well and if you want larger quantities, Van Engelen is the place to go.

I just threw out a ColorBlends catalog, as I did not see anything of interest there. All the others have a better assortment of quality bulbs.
