Be careful if you are in an area where it thrives. I am out pulling up starts of this every single day all year. The seeds are incredibly fertile, it seems every single one sprouts. I've found it growing in the bark of palm trees, between pavers, in the pool skimmer, in every flower bed and along the walks where it gets washed by the rain. The pods 'pop' and the seeds spread far and wide, I've no doubt that my neighbors have vines growing as well. All that said, it is beautiful and I don't really regret planting it. The seedlings are easy to pull up and the main vine has covered about half of one of the walls around the garden. I do need to get up there and remove some of the thatch. It blooms all year here and the color is gorgeous.
