I thought it might be fun to start a thread devoted to our blooms!! They do not have to be currently blooming, just flaunt your flowers!

Right now I have one Christmas cactus in bloom. My Mom doesn't let me put plants in the bathroom unless they are blooming! It's a great excuse to make some more room in other places for a little while...

Ceropegia woodii has been on my wishlist for a while, have you had good luck with yours? I have heard mixed things from people on whether it does well for them...

It grows too well though. Mine just popped out a tuber on the branch. Just treat it like you would any other regular succulent, or somewhat similar to a orchid.
Draining soil(with a bit of bark mixed in as well as some mineral material), semi shade, water when leaves are soft. Likes a lot of water in the summer, a lot less in the winter. I placed the original pot in a new external one with regular soil to give it mass so it doesnt blow away in a strong wind...and the plant rooted there completely.

My Thanksgiving cactus put out a lovely show in November (second year in a row) and is even working on round two at the moment. Won't be as grand as the first but any flowers are welcome in winter!

I bought this little Tiger Jaws impulsively in June, one of those little 2-inch pots at Lowes'. I must be doing something right with it, because it produced four flowers between September and December!

I'm still waiting and hoping that any of my desert cacti will bloom this spring (most are fairly new and none have bloomed yet), and that my Easter cactus will bloom again (I got it in April in full bloom).

Thanks! I think that's the first flower in the picture, and I was totally shocked to get it, much less the three that followed! Most Tiger Jaws varieties have yellow flowers, but at least one is white.

Really nice flowers, Rose. I would like to see one of the white flowered Faucarias. My plant also blooms for much of the year, which is a real plus. A lot of the ice plants are really seasonal in their flowering.

Sedum in an outside planter. My husband made the planter and I put various plants in there, in 2014. Clearly the Sedum won!
Thumb of 2021-04-13/purpleinopp/63cddc

Graptosedum in an outdoor wood pallet planter. This was started in 2018. It was planted evenly, and in 2019 I added more plants to the upper parts and on the right side but the plants have their own ideas. The brighter green bits are 2 kinds of Sedum. One of them is the same Sedum from the pic above.

After the blooms, I think it's time to cut off everything that has reached the ground and fill-in the bare spots again.

At the moment, my garden's looking a little blah. My Aloe hemmingii sent up some flowers last month though (for the 4th time in 14 months!); they're not particularly bright or flashy, but they have a delicate beauty to them.

And the next couple months are shaping up pretty well for blooms -- I've got two hoyas, an Adenium, an Adromischus, and a Graptopetalum in various stages of working on it! Hopefully my Easter cactus will start some buds in the next week or two (last year it bloomed in time for my birthday in May). Thumbs up
