Congrats, Lucy! It looks nice and I'd consider it if it was available here.

thank you, I realize that most of you grow TBs rather than medians.

I was looking at it earlier. Thinking it needs to be at my home along with Ginger Treat and Reddy Set. Medians are a joy and perfect compliment to the TB's!

Reddy Set glamor shot is the one which I use for my message. I have several seedlings where the red is darker, but the form not as good.

Arazi has great and a bit different colors. It would have complemented the IB collection beautifully here, but my guess is that it sadly never will be available here.
Very few median ever make it from the US to Europe. I guess the reverse is true, too.

Winterberry doesn't sell to Europe so plants by small hybridizers don't make it. Unfortunately the reverse is also true.

Somebody who knows, please answer this. I'm thinking of adding a few intermediates to my garden, but I have a memory of reading somewhere that intermediates are not fertile. Is this true, or just a false memory?

I've heard that too Jan but I have several that are. My yellow NOID is fertile. Pretty certain it is an Intermediate. I got a cross out of Sue Zee. And Lichen has children. So I know it is not always true. I think I heard they tend to be fertile.

Thanks for the responses, Elsa and Lucy. Smiling
Daisy, I enjoy making crosses and so often find the intermediates
to be very beautiful. I think if I thought that none of them could be fertile, they'd be much less desirable. But it sounds like intermediates can be parents. Thanks again.

note: I just did a search in the database for intermediates that I have in my plant list.
Several have children ! Alberta Clipper has 10!

Jan: I also have heard this: Crossing TB's and SDB's often produces IB's. So if you like IB's, it's a possible other route for you. I got that info on this Forum from someone or other. I have several such crosses that produced seedlings, which are still growing, so we shall see what transpires.

Oops, Telling big fish stories Smiling I just walked the garden and I only have one TB X SDB cross that has seedlings. I have seeds from 2 more such crosses planted though.
