This is often sold as an LA (Longiflorum-Asiatic) hybrid, but according to the breeder (Mak Breeding) it is just an Asiatic. It is listed in the 6th Supplement of the 2007 RHS register as an LA.

It appears to be diploid and breeds successfully with Asiatics.

In my Zone 10 climate it produced many stem bulblets on its first year. Sadly, it declined rapidly and did not return for the second year (all bulbs had disappeared after two years).
