I have enjoyed the Daylily alphabet posts and hope you will add your favorite iris.

I will begin with ABSOLUTE TREASURE. It has a special meaning for me, because a dear friend gifted it to me after my Mom passed away.

Another favorite in the garden is AWESOME ALEX

A favorite dark one is ALL NIGHT LONG

Since you already said Absolute Treasure which was my first thought, I'll add Affair to Remember.

I just started growing Adriatic Noble two years ago, but its flower and its vigor have really impressed me.

I've posted pictures of Advanced Degree before, because I think it is really beautiful and it is really tough, too, a late bloomer with heavy substance that has held up to both a late rain and an early heat wave.

Kevin, your picture of AFFAIR TO REMEMBER is nice! Is there a special name for the heavy edging on the standards?

Love a classic purple too, Andrea. I see that ADRIATIC NOBLE has a Honorable Mention for last year. Always a good sign.

Tom, I added ARISTROCACY and looking forward to seeing it bloom this Spring.

Not a showy iris but a good rebloomer for zone 6 is AGAIN and AGAIN

Aria Cigana, because it is a very floriferous SDB, that really likes the climate here in Sweden and blooms very strongly every year, despite coming from Italy. I also enjoy its very light blue color.
I'm happy that Augusto Bianco, that created this iris apparently still is well, in spite of the situation in Italy, as he still updates his catalogue. Although I love this iris, looking at the pictures of it now, also reminds of those things that are not so pleasant with the world we live in today. Beauty and sadness, all in one, I guess.

'Amenhotep', another Italian iris, this time by Angelo Garanzini:

Marvin Davis and his American Maid:

Loïc Tasquier's IB Antonella, simple form, but with colors that are very different from all of my other IB's:

These are already mentioned, but I still love them, especially 'Absolute Treasure', so here they go again:

William: Ahhh!!! Light trumps dark and Irises are a bit of light in a troubled world!!! Maybe us humans just made things a bit more complicated as of late than we really needed things to be. But the simple beauty and goodness that has always been there is still hopefully shining all around us

William ~ Your picture of Absolute Treasure is spectacular! Lovey dubby Lovey dubby Lovey dubby
I hope to see mine blooming this year.

Afternoon Delight is an older iris, but quite a reliable bloomer and grower. It was purchased from Bluebird Haven in 2017 and bloomed in its first year and now has formed a generous clump.

Australian Rose was a prolific bloomer from the beginning, with many stalks of beautiful flowers. Nice for its first year, last year.

I, also, have Awesome Alex on my list of favorites. It bloomed the first year, and then I moved it and it didn't bloom. I sure hope to see it this year. I love its subtle coloring and graceful appearance. Some blooms had 2 standards and 4 falls.

I think these pretty pictures are a great diversion at this time. Please post away!

Evelyn, you will love AFTERNOON DELIGHT it may be older but very reliable. I like the subtle colors of this one. It reminds me of Easter for some reason. Rolling my eyes.

I have been ordering from the Spoons, because they are closer to my area. One I added is AUTUMN ROSE. I hope it reblooms for me.

Very nice ones, Barbara. I don't think I have seen them in any gardens around here.

I agree. Working in the garden and looking forward to my irises blooming gives me respite from all the bad news. I'm so grateful to have them.

Adriatic Waves is on my must buy list - it is a sib of of one my favorites, Merchant Marine, a child of another favorite, Yaquina Blue, and pod parent of Adriatic Noble - a distinguished lineage!

Ascent of Angels is beautiful, as is Apricot Already.
